Dancers in the Garden

Yesterday afternoon Andrea Trombetta and her modern dance group performed at The State Botanical Garden of Georgia.

I enjoy photographing performances. Although the visual aspect of these events is only one part of the experience, I find that the camera captures more than just a picture. This particular performance combined music, dance, the spoken word, and nature. I enjoyed the opportunity to be a part of the story, and being able to bring my art of photography into the mix.

Baby Preston

Baby Preston was just 3 weeks old at this photo shoot.  I went to his family's house and took these photos by the light of the window.

I can't resist the finger photo, it's hard to believe how quickly they grow.  These photos are a great reminder of just how little babies are when they come into this world.

Preston fell asleep right away when we put him in the basket.  We didn't want to make him move, he looked so comfortable!

I'm currently running a special on newborn portrait sessions, so give me a call if you are expecting your own bundle of joy soon!

Baby Che'

Deona and Joey are the proud new parents of Che', 12 days old at this photo shoot.  I take newborn photos at the family's home.  (Generally, it is best to get the portraits done in the first week.)  There is no time frame for a session - this one took almost 4 hours!  I am very patient and happy for parents to do whatever they are comfortable with to make the new baby happy.

Che' is sleeping peacefully.

Here he is in his papa's hands.

This blanket that Che' is sleeping on is a favorite of his parents.  They got it on a trip to The Dominican Republic.  I like to incorporate these special family belongings into my portrait sessions.

His hands will never be this tiny again!

Here is the new family of three.
