Suzanne & Steven

I was the second photographer at another wedding with Lamar Gee Photography on May 3rd. Suzanne & Steven were married at Dunwoody United Methodist Church and held the reception around the corner at The Pavillion of Dunwoody.

Steven waits - eyes covered - waiting to see his bride for the first time of the day!

The reveal

Suzanne's bouquet.

Proud grandmothers

Suzanne looking gorgeous!

Suzanne's father walking her down the aisle.  The cut of her dress was so beautiful.

The reception was held at The Pavillion at Dunwoody.

One of the yummiest looking cheese plates I've ever seen!

Shrimp and Grits - another beautiful presentation.

Suzanne always wanted the man of her dreams to show up with a big red bow on him - and there he is!

Suzanne and Steven gave "perfect blend" coffee as their party favors.

Zoe & Ben

On April 13th Zoe and Ben were married at Callanwolde. I was second shooting with Lamar Gee Photography.

Zoe and Ben had this "logo" created to combine their initials. It was a great way to decorate their special day.

These martini glasses were for the mashed potato bar.

Zoe places the ring on Ben's finger.  The tree you see on the right is one of the four pillars on the chuppa.

Love is in the air...

Courtney & Matt

On April 26th, I got to photograph another bride named Courtney!
I was second shooter to the wonderful EJ & Janet of Blue World Studios. Here are a few of my favorites from the day.

A silly moment!

Courtney doesn't miss a beat - and keeps the party going.

... and they lived happily ever after...

A special thanks to Janet and EJ of Blue World Studios

Courtney & Matt were married at St John's Lutheran Church and held their reception at The Magnolia Hall at Piedmont Park. The bride and I were not the only Courtneys there either, Courtney Surber Paz was the wedding planner. Heather at Stylish Stems did the flowers.

Courtney's Bridal Portraits

I look forward to photographing Courtney's wedding in Athens - it's just a little more than two weeks away! Last week I went to her friend's home in The Georgia Club to take some bridal portraits. Here are a few favorites I'd like to share with you.

Environmental Portraits

On Saturday the 12th I took an Environmental Portrait workshop with Andrew Kornylak from The Showcase School.

We went to SCAD's sculpture department and photographed two artists, Danny Paulete and Audrey Ward.

Danny's project is about the war in Iraq and the reality that he feels only those who have been there can truly know.

Audrey is working on a project about love and pain that consists of and "kisses" and "bites" in ceramic.

Beth & Aaron

Thank you so much Paul (Paul Beezley Photography) for letting me join you in shooting Beth and Aaron's wedding. Beth and Aaron were married on April 4th at The Duluth Festival Center. The rain didn't slow them down at all.

Georgia Wedding Photographers gathering

There are so many great wedding photographers in Georgia.  Last night, about 30 of us gathered at Vickery's for some dinner and chatting.  We had a fantastic time.  Charlie Pappas took some photos, so I thought I'd share.  The first two photos are me with EJ Sadler and Janet Howard of Blue World Studios.  The last photo was a "self portrait" taken by Steve Barnhart on the right, then Jessica Horwitz next to him.

Spring

Spring has sprung! My backyard is covered in these tiny white flowers. They only open up during the day and when it is sunny. If you know what they are, let me know!

Here's Grayce Mae - my little girl and my on-call model.
