Save The World - One Click At A Time!

I thought this was a good post since the holiday season is approaching.  This is something I do every day.  I go to the hunger site first, and click on the button.  Then I click on the next tab over and click on that button.  Then I click the next tab and so on until I've clicked each of the buttons.  Each click creates funding, and is free to you.  I believe that the way it works is this.  The number of clicks indicates traffic to the site and the advertisers pay more for more traffic and that money is donated.  Anyway, it's easy to do, just bookmark one of these sites and click on them once a day!

A Halloween Treat

Happy Halloween! I thought it fitting that I show some photos I took at a graveyard for my Halloween post.

A few weeks ago, I had a "day at the playground" for wedding photographers! I joined some fellow photographers on a photo shoot in The Oakland Cemetery with some awesome models. The ladies had their hair and make-up done by Scooby West. With none of the pressures of a wedding day to slow us down, we were able to get creative and have fun. Here's what I got...

Thanks to Amber, Daniel, Lindsey, Kendall, Kris, Laura, and Julie for modeling.

Inspiration

My father sent me this video and I was so inspired I felt the need to share it with you.  I've tried to explain how I feel about it, but words just won't do.  All I can say is that it's 5 minutes well spent.

The story below the clip is really interesting as well.

Cute Overload!

The Weavers are some of my very favorite friends.  I am so excited that I got to spend an extra special day with them recently - the day they got their new puppy.

Here is Taylor - she is going to be trouble in just a few more years...

Gena works for Ted's Montana Grill, and they got their puppy from Ted Turner himself.  He flew in on his private plane to deliver 6  of them!

Out on the tarmac, Gena and Taylor meet their newest family member.

I love that Gena's wearing her peace sign earrings, as the puppy's name is Hopi, which means "peaceful one."

I have a feeling this puppy is going to be carried around a lot.  It's hard to put such a cutie down!

Here's Cody on the car ride home.

Hopi in her new home.

In case anyone was wondering, I did bring Grayce Mae along to meet the new puppy.  Somehow I wasn't surprised when Grayce chose to root around in the dirt in a shady spot rather than playing in the sun.  That's my girl!  (She did meet and greet the Hopi first, but was ultimately more interested in just chilling out.)

Now, I give you cute overload...

Awwww.....

Eggs

This is a random post, but one I've wanted to share for a while...
I took this photo when visiting my parents in Asheville.  They get their eggs from the farm up the road.  Being a city girl, I've never seen so many different colors of eggs.

Rainbow omelets for all!

Toccoa

I'd like to introduce the newest addition to my extended dog family - Toccoa.
Toccoa is a doberman rescue, who is now the lucky baby of Dona & Bill.  I took these photos on his second day in his new home, and he is clearly one happy puppy!

He knows how to work the camera!

And has the puppy dog eyes down to a science.

I might have gone a little crazy with the processing, but he looks so regal in red!

Georgia Wedding Photographers gathering

There are so many great wedding photographers in Georgia.  Last night, about 30 of us gathered at Vickery's for some dinner and chatting.  We had a fantastic time.  Charlie Pappas took some photos, so I thought I'd share.  The first two photos are me with EJ Sadler and Janet Howard of Blue World Studios.  The last photo was a "self portrait" taken by Steve Barnhart on the right, then Jessica Horwitz next to him.

Spring

Spring has sprung! My backyard is covered in these tiny white flowers. They only open up during the day and when it is sunny. If you know what they are, let me know!

Here's Grayce Mae - my little girl and my on-call model.

A few photos of me

I spent 4 days in Tampa at the Digital Wedding Forum convention, meeting other photographers and learning about the art and business of wedding photography.  I actually have a few photos of me, courtesy of Todd Nichols.

Here I am!

This is me with my convention roommate Irit Tommasini.  She came all the way from Brazil to attend the convention!
